\nSpring-loaded shutter mechanism allows plugs to enter, but
\nresists access to single-pronged items like keys, hairpins, or nails.
\nThis device replaces a conventional receptacle outlet. Should
\nsomeone come in contact with a live (hot) wire, this GFCI will
\ndetect a current leakage as little as 5 milliamps and will shut the
\npower off almost immediately (1\/40 of a second).
\nThe National Electric Code (NEC) requires the use of GFCI outlets
\nin kitchens, bathrooms, garages, basements and outdoors.<\/p>\n
