\nantenna system should not be located in the
\nvicinity of overhead power lines or other electric

\ncontact with such power lines or circuits as death
\nor serious injury can occur. Be sure the antenna
\nsystem is grounded to provide some protection
\nagainst voltage surges and built-up static
\ncharges. Section 810 of the National Electrical
\nCode (NEC) in the U.S.A. provides information
\nwith respect to proper grounding of the mast
\nand supporting structure, grounding of the
\nlead-in wire to an antenna discharge unit, size
\nof grounding conductors, location of antenna
\ndischarge unit, connection to grounding
\nelectrodes and requirements for the grounding
\nelectrode. Antenna grounding according to the
\nNational Electrical Code, ANSI\/NFPA 70
\n\u2022\u2022Moving Make sure the product is turned off,
\nunplugged, and all cables have been removed.
\nIt may take 2 or more people to carry larger TVs.
\nDo not press or put stress on the front panel of
\nthe TV.

\nventilation. Do not install in a confined space
\nsuch as a bookcase. Do not cover the product
\nwith cloth or other materials while plugged. Do
\nnot install in excessively dusty places.

\nWhen watching the TV for a long period, the
\nventilation openings may become hot. This does
\nnot affect the performance of the product or
\ncause defects in the product.

\nthe TV, unplug the power cord and contact an
\nauthorized service center.
\n\u2022\u2022If water or another substance enters the
\nproduct (like an AC adapter, power cord, or TV),

\nservice center immediately. Otherwise, this may

\n\u2022\u2022Batteries Store the accessories (battery, etc.) in a
\nsafe location out of the reach of children.

\nto dispose of these batteries properly due to

\nLifting and Moving the TV
\nWhen moving or lifting the TV, read the following
\nto prevent the TV from being scratched or
\ndamaged and for safe transportation regardless of
\nits type and size.
\n\u2022\u2022It is recommended to move the TV in the box or
\npacking material that the TV originally came in.
\n\u2022\u2022Before moving or lifting the TV, disconnect the
\npower cord and all cables.
\n\u2022\u2022When holding the TV, the screen
\nshould face away from you to
\navoid damage.
\n\u2022\u2022Hold the top and bottom of the TV frame firmly.
\nMake sure not to hold the transparent part,
\nspeaker, or speaker grille area.
\n\u2022\u2022Use at least two people to move
\na large TV.
\n\u2022\u2022When transporting the TV by
\nhand, hold the TV as shown in the
\nfollowing illustration.
\n\u2022\u2022When transporting the TV, do not expose the TV
\nto jolts or excessive vibration.
\n\u2022\u2022When transporting the TV, keep the TV upright;
\nnever turn the TV on its side or tilt towards the
\nleft or right.
\n\u2022\u2022When handling the TV, be careful not to damage
\nthe protruding buttons.
\n\u2022\u2022Avoid touching the screen at all times, as
\nthis may result in damage to the screen.
\n\u2022\u2022Do not place the product on the floor with
\nits front facing down without padding.

\nholders, as the cable holders may break,

\nYou can operate the TV by pressing the button.

\nMounting on a Table
\n1 Lift and tilt the TV into its upright position on a
\ntable.
\n— Leave a 10 cm (4 inches) (minimum) space from
\nthe wall for proper ventilation.

\n2 Connect the power cord to a wall outlet.
\n\u2022\u2022Do not apply foreign substances (oils,
\nlubricants, etc.) to the screw parts when
\nassembling the product. (Doing so may

\nSecuring the TV to a Wall (optional)
\n(Depending upon model)
\n1 Insert and tighten the eye-bolts or TV brackets
\nand bolts on the back of the TV.
\n— If there are bolts inserted at the eye-bolts
\nposition, remove the bolts first.
\n2 Mount the wall brackets with the bolts to the
\nwall. Match the location of the wall bracket and
\nthe eye-bolts on the rear of the TV.
\n3 Connect the eye-bolts and wall brackets tightly
\nwith a sturdy rope or cable. Make sure to keep
\nthe rope parallel to the flat surface.
\n\u2022\u2022Make sure that children do not climb on or
\nhang on the TV.
\n\u2022\u2022Use a platform or cabinet that is strong and
\nlarge enough to support the TV securely.
\n\u2022\u2022Brackets, bolts, and ropes are optional. You
\ncan obtain additional accessories from your
\nlocal dealer.
\nMounting on a Wall
\nAn optional wall mount can be used with your
\nLG Television. Consult with your local dealer for
\na wall mount that supports the VESA standard
\nused by your TV model. Carefully attach the wall
\nmount bracket at the rear of the TV. Install the wall
\nmount bracket on a solid wall perpendicular to the
\nfloor. If you are attaching the TV to other building
\nmaterials, please contact qualified personnel to
\ninstall the wall mount. Detailed instructions will
\nbe included with the wall mount. We recommend
\nthat you use an LG brand wall mount. The LG wall
\nmount is easy to adjust or to connect the cables.
\nWhen you do not use LG\u2019s wall mount bracket,
\nuse a wall mount bracket where the device is
\nadequately secured to the wall with enough space
\nto allow connectivity to external devices. If you are
\nusing a non-adjustable mount, attach the mount
\nto the wall. Attach the cables to the TV first, then
\nattach the TV to the mount.

\nYou can connect various external devices to the TV.
\nSupported external devices are: HD receivers, DVD
\nplayers, VCRs, audio systems, USB storage devices,
\nPC, gaming devices, and other external devices. For
\nmore information on external device\u2019s connection,
\nrefer to the manual provided with each device.
\n\u2022\u2022If you record a TV program on a DVD recorder or
\nVCR, make sure to connect the TV signal input
\ncable to the TV through a DVD recorder or VCR.
\nFor more information about recording, refer to
\nthe manual provided with the connected device.
\n\u2022\u2022The external device connections shown may
\ndiffer slightly from illustrations in a manual.
\n\u2022\u2022Connect external devices to the TV regardless
\nabout the order of the TV port.
\n\u2022\u2022If you connect a gaming device to the TV, use the
\ncable supplied with the gaming device.
\n\u2022\u2022Refer to the external equipment\u2019s manual for
\noperating instructions.
\n\u2022\u2022In PC mode, there may be noise associated
\nwith the resolution, vertical pattern, contrast
\nor brightness. If noise is present, change the PC
\noutput to another resolution, change the refresh
\nrate to another rate or adjust the brightness and
\ncontrast on the Picture menu until the picture

\n\u2022\u2022When connecting via a wired LAN, it is
\nrecommended to use a CAT 7 cable.

\na set-top-box from a multichannel video

\nConnect an antenna, cable, or cable box to watch
\nTV while referring to the following. The illustrations
\nmay differ from the actual items and an RF cable is
\noptional.

\nThe descriptions in this manual are based on
\nthe buttons on the remote control. Please read
\nthis manual carefully and use the TV correctly. To
\ninstall batteries, open the battery cover, replace
\nbatteries (1.5 V AAA) matching the and ends
\nto the label inside the compartment, and close
\nthe battery cover. Failure to match the correct
\npolarities of the battery may cause the battery
\nto burst or leak, resulting in fire, personal injury,
\nor ambient pollution. To remove the batteries,
