\nTo be installed and\/or used in accordance with appropriate electrical codes and regulations.
\nTo avoid overheating and possible damage to other equipment, do not use

\nINSTALLING YOUR DIMMER
\n1. Plug lamp into dimmer: Turn off lamp. Plug a lamp into the Plug-in Lamp Dimmer (refer to Figure 1 ).
\n2. Plug dimmer into outlet: Ensure that the Plug-in Lamp Dimmer is in the OFF position (refer to Figure 1). Plug the dimmer into a polarized receptacle.
\nNOTE: This device i~ a POLARI_ZED cord set. It has a polarized plug (one blade wider than the other) and a polarized outlet (one slot is longer than
\nthe other). The p~larized plug 1s not intended to be mated with non-polarized outlets (having both slots the same size). A polarized outlet is inte,nded to
\nmate with a polarized plug 1n only one way (the longer slot with the wider blade).

\nAfter installation, turn the lamp in the ON position (the light will remain OFF). To adjust lighting level, proceed as follows:
\nON: Raise the slider to the brightness level desired (refer to Figure 2).
\nOFF: Lower the slider to the OFF position (refer to Figure 2). The light will turn OFF.
\nNOTE: LED and CFL lamps generally have a higher turn-on voltage requiring the slider to be raised slightly higher until the bulb turns ON.

\nCARACTERISTIQUES

\n\u2022 Cordon de deux metres pour atteindre les prises diffciles d’acces
\n\u2022 Gradation tout en douceur de lampes a incandescence a diodes
\nelectroluminescentes (DE:L) et fluocompactes (LFC) reglables
\n1. Enficher la lampe dans le gradateur : brancher la fiche d’une tampe
\nhors tension dans le gradateur (figure 1).
\n2. Enficher le gradateur dans une sortie : s’assurer que le commutateur
\ndu gradateur est en position hors tension (figure 1) avant de le brancher dans
\nune prise polarisee.
\nREMARQUE : le cordon de ce dispositif est dote de connecteurs
\nPOLARISEE. Sa fiche a une lame plus large que l’autre et sa prise a
\nune fente plus allongee que l’autre. On ne doit pas tenter d’y raccorder des
\ndispositifs non polarises (ayant des lames ou des fentes de la meme taille). Les
\nprises et les fiches polarisees ne peuvent etre accouplees que dans un seul
\nsens, soit en inserant la lame plus large dans la fente plus allongee.
\nFONCTIONNEMENT
\n~pres l’installation, mettre la lampe sous tension (elle devrait cependant rester
\nETEINTE). Proceder ensuite comme suit pour regler l’eclairage :
\nMISE SOUS TENSION : hausser la glissiere au niveau d’intensite voulu
\n(figure 2).
\nMISE HORS TENSION : abaisser la glissiere jusqu’en bas (figure 2).
\nREMARQUE : les DEL et les LFC ont generalement
\nune tension de demarrage plus elevee, exigeant qu’on
\nhausse un peu plus la glissiere pour les allumer.
\nTAMISAGE\/INTENSIFICATION : deplacer la glissiere vers le haut ou le bas
\njusqu’au niveau voulu.
\nEXCLUSIONS ET GARANTIE LIMITEE DE 5 ANS
\nLeviton garantit au premier acheteur, et uniquement au credit du dit acheteur, que ce produit ne
\npresente ni defauts de fabrication ni defauts de materiaux au moment de sa vente par Leviton, et
\nn’en presentera pas tant qu’il est utilise de fa9on normale et adequate, pendant une periode de 5 ans
\nsuivant la date d’achat. La seule obligation de Leviton sera de corriger les dits defauts en reparant ou
\nen rempla9ant le produit defectueux si ce dernier est retourne port paye, accompagne d’une preuve

\nINSTALACION DEL ATENUADOR
\n1. Conecte la lampara en el atenuador: Apague la lampara. Conecte ta
\nlampara en el atenuador enchufable (ver Figura 1 ).
\n2. Conecte el atenuador en el contacto: Asegurese que el atenuador este en
\nla posici6n de APAGADO (ver Figura 1 ). Conecte el atenuador en el receptaculo
\npolarizado.
\nNOTA: Este es un cordon POLARIZADO. Este producto tiene una
\nclavija polarizada (una cuchilla es mas ancha que la otra) y contactos
\npolarizados (una ranura es mas larga que la otra). La clavija polarizada esta
\nfabricada para que no engrane en contactos no polarizados (que tienen ambas
\nranuras del mismo tamaiio). El prop6sito del contacto polarizado es que
\nengrane con la clavija polarizada solo de una manera (la ranura mas larga con
\nta cuchilla mas ancha).<\/p>\n
