Setup precautions

Finding a suitable location

–  Place the set on a fl at, hard and 
stable surface. Do not place the set 
on a carpet.
–  Do not position the set on top 
of other equipment that might heat 
it up (e.g., receiver or amplifi er.)
–  Do not put anything above or 
under the set (e.g., CDs, 
magazines.)
–  Install this unit near the AC 
outlet and where the AC power 
plug can be reached easily.

Space for ventilation

–  Place the apparatus in a location 
with adequate ventilation to 
prevent internal heat build up. 
Allow at least 10 cm (4”) clearance 
from the rear and the top of the set 
and 5cm (2”) from the left and right 
to prevent overheating.

Avoid high temperatures, 
moisture, water and dust

–  Apparatus shall not be exposed 
to dripping or splashing.
–  Do not place any sources of

Placement

Proper system placement is 
important to ensure optimum 
wireless transmission.

Note

  For optimum wireless 

reception, it is recommended that 
the transmitter and receiver are 
not obstructed by any objects.

  Place the front of the transmitter 

(with Philips logo) to face the front 
of the wireless receiver.

Connections and Getting Started

Connecting the transmitter

Before you start...

Turn off all equipment before 
connections. Read all accompanying 
operating instructions.

TRANSMITTER

  Connect the wireless transmitter 

to the WIRELESS TRANSMITTER 
jack on the home theatre system.

To remove the transmitter, press 
the two buttons to release the 
catch.

Connecting to the main 
unit

A

  Connect the rear speaker cables to 

the main unit. Ensure the colours of 
the plugs and jacks match.

  Connect the power cord from the 

main unit to an AC power outlet.

Before you start...

Ensure the power cord of the 
wireless system is connected and

Troubleshooting

Solution

WARNING
Under no circumstances should you try to repair the system yourself, as this will 
invalidate the warranty. Do not open the system as there is a risk of electric shock.

If a fault occurs, fi rst check the points listed below before taking the system for 
repair. If you are unable to remedy a problem by following these hints, consult 
your dealer or Philips for help.

If the indicator on the 
wireless transmitter blinks 
continously for more than a 
minute.

–  The transmitter may have been swapped with 

another transmitter supplied with other receiver.

–  Turn off all connected devices.
–  Turn on the connected home theatre system
–  Press and hold the CONNECT button on the 

transmitter for 5 seconds. Release the 
CONNECT button.

–  Turn on the wireless receiver.
